Michael Mazzuca is a Toronto-based director and screenwriter. He holds an Honours BFA in Film Production from York University and was a 2014 resident of the prestigious Norman Jewison’s Directors’ Lab and Short Dramatic Film Program at the Canadian Film Centre.

He has directed twelve films, which have been showcased at multiple international film festivals, such as the Montreal World Film Festival, the Italian Contemporary Film Festival, the Toronto After Dark Film Festival, and the Boston Underground Film Festival.

Mazzuca has shadowed on DC Entertainment’s Shazam!, four seasons of Amazon’s The Expanse, and director Vincenzo Natali on Guillermo del Toro’s The Strain. Michael directed web content, previz, and second unit for the fourth, fifth, and sixth seasons of The Expanse. Michael has also been hired as a writer on two Eli Roth produced horror shows for Roth produced horror shows for Discovery+.

Mazzuca is currently working for the cinematics team at Ubisoft Toronto.
