Michael Mazzuca is a Toronto-based director and screenwriter. He has directed six short films, which have been showcased at multiple international film festivals such as the Montreal World Film Festival, the Italian Contemporary Film Festival, and the Boston Underground Film Festival. He holds an Honours BFA in Film Production from York University and was a 2014 resident of the prestigious Cineplex Entertainment Film Program Directors’ Lab at the Canadian Film Centre. Mazzuca is currently developing a sci-fi digital series that takes place in a totalitarian society, The Mavericks, and his first feature film, Unmade, a drama about tragic loss and mental illness within an Italian-Canadian community.
